Its beaches, caressed by the Mediterranean Sea, with their crystalline waters and picturesque coastal towns. This have been the backdrop for romantic films like “Paloma’s Beach” (2007), capturing the magic of a summer romance under the Andalusian sun. The renowned Costa del Sol also took center stage in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” (2008), where Woody Allen told a tale of passions, adventures, and chance encounters.

The enchanting landscapes of Andalusia also provide an ideal setting for adventure and historical films. “Lawrence of Arabia” (1962), directed by David Lean, utilized the majestic sand dunes of the Tabernas Desert in the province of Almería to tell the extraordinary story of the legendary British explorer T.E. Lawrence. This region also served as the backdrop for spaghetti westerns like “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” (1966), directed by Sergio Leone, featuring Clint Eastwood.

Andalusia is a land of strong traditions and vibrant cultures, which is reflected in its cinema. Flamenco, the art of Spanish dance, has been widely represented on the silver screen. Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Aeropuerto de Málaga-Costa del Sol, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Immerse yourself in the city where much of the filming of the hit series The Crown took place. A tour will take you to all the locations that were a significant part of the fourth season. Walk along Calle Larios, the most impressive shopping street in Malaga, take the lift up to one of the highest points in Málaga at the hotel Málaga Palacio.

The stylish Grand Hotel Miramar has been used not only as set for The Crown but also Fire over Africa or The End of the Night. The beach just across starred in Millennium I, pretending to be the Cayman Islands. Also scenes of Summer Rain by Antonio Banderas as the film director were shot here. Warrior Nun was also filmed in two of Malaga’s highlights, the Cathedral and the current Museum of Malaga, former Customs Palace.

After breakfast, you will head to the nearby province of Almería. Due to Hollywood’s decades- long love for Almería, it has been the setting for blockbusters such as Never Say Never Again and Western Classics like The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

You will discover the Alcazaba de Almería. In modern times, directors frequently used this 10th- century monument as the setting for films such as Conan the Barbarian or Game of Thrones.

Later on, you will discover Cabo de Gata, the most impressive cape in Spain. Enjoy your afternoon by the Mónsul Beach, where Harrison Ford’s character Indiana Jones once walked around during the Last Crusade or part of The Never-ending Story or Talk to Her by Almodovar were also filmed

For your day stay in Almería, we travel back to the golden age of Westerns.

Today you are visiting a MiniHollywood, a theme park, that used to be an actual film set in the 1960s. Famous movies such as A Fistful of Dollars, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Ben and Charlie or A Reason to Live, a Reason to Die.

Afterwards, we recommend visiting the unique Desierto de Tabernas. Hollywood productions such as Cleopatra and Exodus: Gods and Kings benefited from the almost 300 km2 desert as a filming location.

After arriving in Granada, one of the most beautiful cities in Spain, the Castillo de La Calahorra awaits for you. Follow in the footsteps of old Hollywood, which once shot the classic films Doctor Zhivago and The Wind and The Lion here and more recently, Assassin’s Creed and Emerald City in 2016. Due to its location at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, you soon will feel like you are on a film set yourself.

The Alhambra was a preferred filming location for numerous Spanish and international filmmakers.

As a masterpiece of Arabic architecture, a visit to the Alhambra is almost a must in the evening hours. Killing Eve or Isabel, a Spanish series narrating the conquers of The Catholic Kings, have been filmed here.

The next stop on your tour is the capital of Andalusia: Sevilla.

On an extensive guided tour through the streets of Sevilla, you will pass by many places that have served as settings for various high-quality productions. The world-famous TV series Game of Thrones claimed almost the entire city by recording in Seville’s mayor highlights.

The Real Alcázar has been used for Game of Thrones being the Kingdom of Dorne, also starred in Lawrence of Arabia or 1492: Conquest of Paradise. Not far, you will find the Plaza de España. with its outstanding architecture, it was used as a background for Lawrence de Arabia as well as Star Wars in the early 2000s or The Dictator starring Sacha Baron Cohen.

La Maestranza is another highlight you just cannot miss, Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz were filming Day and Knight starting their unforgettable motorbike scape from this very spot.

After discovering some of Sevilla’s hotspots, it is time for a change of scenery. Therefore, you are joining a boat cruise on the Guadalquivir River, see Seville from a unique point of view and enjoy privileged views of the city.

To end an impressive day in Seville, attend an authentic flamenco show in one of the city’s best known tablaos.

Day 6 :
Star Wars

After a free morning in Seville, we will depart to Jerez in the afternoon.

About 1 hour south from Seville, you will find the city of Jerez. An impressive attraction here is the Alcazar, which together the Tio Pepe winery and Cathedral is set to many films and series, such as The Vineyard, the Crown (portraying as Morocco) or The Summer we lived.

After the tour we could visit the most famous Sherry maker in Jerez, Tio Pepe winery for a tour and a wine tasting. Departure to Cadiz in the evening.

Known for its beautiful beaches and for its resemblance to Havana in Cuba, the province of Cadiz achieved new fame in 2002 due to one of the most popular scenes from Die Another Day. You will have the opportunity to spend another beach day at the same spot where Halle Berry’s character rose from the sea to meet James Bond. The Cathedral stars in films such as 1000 lines, Cuba, or The Nautical Chart. Tom Cruise & Cameron Diaz were also in calle Ancha, located in the heart of the city, filming Knight & Day.
